A national non-profit focused on vocational training for displaced workers.

The Challenge

The organization struggled with a clinical, legacy brand perception that failed to resonate with younger donors and prospective program participants. Their existing marketing focused solely on statistics, lacking the emotional resonance needed to drive individual contributions.

Furthermore, high-impact success stories were buried in long-form PDF reports. The brand needed to pivot from dry reporting to a human-centric narrative strategy that could cut through the noise on social media and re-engage a dormant email subscriber base.

Our Approach

  • Conducted deep-dive interviews with program alumni to identify high-emotion narrative arcs
  • Developed a 'Human First' content pillar centered on overcoming systemic barriers
  • Produced a flagship docu-style cinematic brand film highlighting three transformation journeys
  • Mapped out a multi-channel distribution strategy focusing on high-engagement social platforms
  • Created modular video assets tailored for LinkedIn, Instagram Reels, and YouTube
  • Implemented a personalized email nurture sequence triggered by video engagement levels
  • Optimized landing pages to convert emotional engagement into recurring donations

Execution

We deployed a documentary-style video series titled 'The Second Act,' focusing on the lived experiences of beneficiaries rather than the organization’s internal processes. By utilizing tight framing, natural lighting, and unscripted interviews, we stripped away the corporate feel to build immediate trust with the audience.

To ensure maximum reach, we moved beyond organic posting and utilized a targeted paid social strategy. We segmented audiences by interest and lookalike profiles, delivering shortened 'teaser' clips that linked back to a high-conversion hub featuring the full-length narrative and a streamlined donation path.
