A multi-location HVAC and plumbing contractor serving a high-competition metropolitan area.

The Challenge

The client struggled with low visibility in the Google Local Pack, appearing behind smaller competitors despite having superior reviews and a longer business history. Organic traffic was stagnant, leading to a heavy and expensive reliance on seasonal PPC campaigns to maintain lead flow.

Their existing Google Business Profiles were under-optimized, with inconsistent NAP (Name, Address, Phone) data across the web and a lack of localized content. The primary goal was to secure 'top 3' positions for high-intent keywords to reduce customer acquisition costs.

Execution

The campaign was delivered over a six-month roadmap using tools like BrightLocal for citation tracking and SEMrush for keyword position monitoring. We held bi-weekly syncs to align on-page updates with the client's seasonal service promotions.

Execution was divided into two phases: an initial 'cleanup' phase to fix technical SEO and citation errors, followed by an 'authority' phase focused on content creation and local backlink acquisition.
